Removal [01/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [01/2017 - 05/2023]

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [01/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [01/2021 - 05/2023]

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [01/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  8. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR 
    1. for LH side:
      1. Fold back the floor carpet.
      2. Disconnect the connector from the acceleration sensor.

      3. Remove the 2 nuts and acceleration sensor.
        NOTE:
        • Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor.
        • Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
    2. for RH side:
      1. Fold back the floor carpet.
      2. Disconnect the connector from the acceleration sensor.

      3. Remove the 2 nuts and acceleration sensor.
        NOTE:
        • Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor.
        • Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
