The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the ECM removal/installation are shown below.

*1: Read the transmission compensation code from the previous ECM, then transfer it to the new ECM.
*2: Set the transmission compensation code of the current automatic transmission.
NOTE:
- Perform the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) registration when replacing the ECM.

- After the engine switch is turned off, the radio receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
