On-Vehicle Inspection [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure
- INSPECT MASS AIR FLOW METER
HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the mass air flow meter.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 08/2021] Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2021 - 07/2022]
- Read the value of Data List item "Mass Air Flow Sensor" using the Techstream.NOTE:
Perform the inspection of the mass air flow meter while it is installed to the air cleaner cap sub-assembly (installed to the vehicle).
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Mass Air Flow Sensor.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Mass Air Flow Sensor - According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List when the engine is running.
Standard Condition
Techstream Display Condition Specified Condition Mass Air Flow Sensor Idling (engine warmed up) 1.2 to 3.2 gm/sec 3000 rpm (without load) 7.5 to 12.5 gm/sec If the result is not as specified, replace the mass air flow meter.
If the result is within the specified range, remove and inspect the mass air flow meter.
Refer to INSPECTION [10/2018 - 07/2022]
- Read the value of Data List item "Mass Air Flow Sensor" using the Techstream.
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the mass air flow meter.

- Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the mass air flow meter.
