Installation [10/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL OIL LEVEL SENSOR BRACKET 
    1. Install the engine oil level sensor bracket.
  2. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR 
    1. Install the engine oil level sensor with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. Remove any foreign material from the connector mounting hole in the oil pan.
    3. Apply engine oil to the O-ring, and then insert the connector into the hole.
    4. Install a new clip to the engine oil level sensor as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:
      • If oil is present on the connector surface, wipe it clean with a piece of cloth or the like.
      • Do not spray brake cleaner on the connector surface or use cleaner solvent to clean the connector.
  3. INSTALL OIL PIPE WITH STRAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. ADD ENGINE OIL

  6. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK 

    See step  8 [10/2017 - 11/2021], or see step  8 [11/2021 - ]

  7. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2017 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2023 - ]

  8. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 100 [10/2017 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 100 [09/2020 - ]
