Installation [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 14 other vehicles, including the 2024 Lexus RC 350, 2024 Lexus RC 300, 2023 Lexus RC 350, 2023 Lexus RC 300, and 2022 Lexus RC 350. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. INSTALL OIL LEVEL SENSOR BRACKET 
    1. Install the oil level sensor bracket.
  2. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR 
    1. Install the engine oil level sensor with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. Engage the clamp.
    3. Remove any foreign material from the connector mounting hole in the oil pan.
    4. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-ring, and then insert the connector into the hole.
    5. Install a new clip to the engine oil level sensor as shown in the illustration.

      *A for 2WD
      *B for AWD
      NOTE:
      • If oil is present on the connector surface, wipe it clean with a piece of cloth or the like.
      • Do not spray brake cleaner on the connector surface or use cleaner solvent to clean the connector.
  3. INSTALL OIL PIPE WITH STRAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 56

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 57

  5. ADD ENGINE OIL

  6. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK 

    See step  8 [11/2017 - 11/2021], or see step  8 [11/2021 - ]

  7. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2017 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2023 - ]

  8. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 102
