Inspection [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT TOE CONTROL LINK SUBASSEMBLY LH

    1. Temporarily install the nut, and flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration.
    2. Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the fifth turn.

      Standard turning torque

      1.0 to 6.0 N*m (10.2 to 61 kgf*cm, 8.9 to 53 in.*lbf)

      1. If the value is not within the specified range, replace the rear suspension toe control link with a new one.
    3. Check the dust boot for cracks or grease leakage.
