Removal [08/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - 03/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2019 - 01/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [01/2023 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2017 - ]

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [11/2017 - ]

  5. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Fold back the floor carpet.
    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts and acceleration sensor.
      NOTE:
      • Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor.
      • Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
