DTC P0101: Mass Air Flow Circuit Range / Performance Problem: Procedure

CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P0101)

Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the Techstream ON.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

Read the DTCs.

Result

Display (DTC Output)	Proceed to
P0101	A
P0101 and other DTCs	B

HINT:

If any DTCs other than P0101 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

CHECK AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM
1. Check the air induction system for vacuum leaks.
  OK
  
  No leaks in air induction system.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM

OK: Go to next step
CHECK PCV HOSE CONNECTIONS
1. Check the PCV hose connections. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [08/2012 - ] - Step 1 .
  OK
  
  PCV hose is connected correctly and is not damaged.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE PCV HOSE

OK → See step 5
GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2012 - ]
REPLACE MASS AIR FLOW METER. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2012 - ]
