DTC P1631: Communication Error from ECM to VSC: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK/CLEAR [08/2012 - ] .
5. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

   HINT: 

   If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.

   1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) or more.
   2. Turn the cruise control main switch on.
6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Trouble Codes.
7. Read the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK/CLEAR [08/2012 - ] .

   Result

   DTC is not output	A
   DTC P1631 is output	B

1. Replace the ECM. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2012 - ] for 2GR-FSE. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2012 - ] for 4GR-FSE).
