Cruise Control Switch Circuit: Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.
- Check the Data List for proper functioning of the cruise control main switch.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

- INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH
- Remove the cruise control main switch. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2012 - ] .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH - SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the connector from the spiral cable sub-assembly.
- Disconnect the connector from the cruise control main switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.STANDARD RESISTANCE
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Cruise control main switch side connector 1 (ECC) - z3-4 Always Below 1 Ω Cruise control main switch side connector 3 (CCS) - z3-3 Always Below 1 Ω Cruise control main switch side connector 1 (ECC) - z3-3 Always 10 kΩ or higher Cruise control main switch side connector 3 (CCS) - z3-4 Always 10 kΩ or higher - Reconnect the connector from the cruise control main switch.

- Disconnect the connector from the spiral cable sub-assembly.
- INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY NOTE:
The spiral cable sub-assembly is an important part of the SRS airbag system. Incorrect removal or installation of the spiral cable sub-assembly may prevent the airbag from deploying. Be sure to read information shown in the brackets.
HINT:
- Removal. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2012 - ]
- Installation. Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2012 - ]
- Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.STANDARD RESISTANCE

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - ECM)
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Disconnect the spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.STANDARD RESISTANCE

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.STANDARD RESISTANCE
