VSC Buzzer Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION LINE See step   3 

    NG → See step   6 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (BUZZER) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Data List.
      ABS/VSC/TRAC

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Buzzer Buzzer/ ON or OFF ON: Buzzer on
      OFF: Buzzer off
      The combination meter has a built-in buzzer.
    6. When performing the Buzzer Active Test, check Buzzer in the Data List. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [06/2012 - ] .
      ABS/VSC/TRAC

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the combination meter. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2012 - ] .

    NG → See step   7 

    OK → See step   4 

  4. REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2012 - ] 
  5. GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2012 - ] 
  6. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2012 - ] 
  7. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2012 - ]
