TC and CG Terminal Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TERMINAL TC of DLC3 - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the A6 connector from the ECM.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A6-3 (TC) - J21-13 (TC) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (DLC3 - ECM) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TERMINAL CG of DLC3 - BODY GROUND)

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      J21-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TERMINAL TC of DLC3 - BODY GROUND)

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J21-13 (TC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OR EACH ECU 

    OK → See step   4 

  4. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
