DTC CHECK / CLEAR (SST CHECK WIRE)

Read the DTCs from the ABS warning light or slip indicator light on the combination meter.

HINT:

If no DTC is output, inspect the TC and CG terminal circuit, and the ABS warning light circuit.

Trouble Area	See Procedure
TC and CG terminal circuit	Refer to TC and CG Terminal Circuit
ABS warning light circuit	Refer to ABS Warning Light Remains ON or refer to ABS Warning Light does not Come ON
Slip indicator light circuit	Refer to Slip Indicator Light Remains ON or refer to Slip Indicator Light does not Come ON

If 2 or more malfunctions are indicated at the same time, the lowest numbered DTC is output first.

As examples, the illustration below shows the blinking patterns of the normal system code and DTC 11 and 21.

Refer to the DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART for DTC information.
After completing the check, turn the engine switch off and remove SST from the DLC3.

DTC CHECK / CLEAR (TECHSTREAM)
1. DTC check
  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
  2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
  3. Turn the Techstream on.
  4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Codes.
  5. Read the DTCs by following the directions on the Techstream screen.
2. DTC clear
  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
  2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
  3. Turn the Techstream on.
  4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Codes.
  5. Clear the DTCs by following the directions on the Techstream screen.
END OF DTC CHECK / CLEAR
1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
2. Check that the ABS warning light goes off within approximately 3 seconds.
