Removal (08/2011 - ): Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:
    • w/ Navigation System:

      After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
  3. REMOVE FRONT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the front speed sensor.

    2. Remove the bolt and harness clamp.
    3. Remove the nut and harness clamp.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 harness clamps.

    5. Disconnect the 2 connectors and then remove the bolt, harness clamp and sensor wire.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH 
    1. Remove the bolt and speed sensor from the knuckle.

      NOTE:

      Pull out the sensor while trying as much as possible not to rotate it.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE RH 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the front speed sensor.

    2. Remove the bolt and harness clamp.
    3. Remove the nut and harness clamp.
    4. Disconnect the connector.

    5. Detach the connector from the skid control sensor clamp.
    6. Remove the bolt and skid control sensor clamp.
    7. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 harness clamps.
    8. Disconnect the connector and then remove the bolt, harness clamp and sensor wire.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR RH 
    1. Remove the bolt and speed sensor from the knuckle.

      NOTE:

      Pull out the sensor while trying as much as possible not to rotate it.
