FRONT SPEED SENSOR (for 2WD): Installation: Installation

HINT: 

• Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
• The procedures listed below are the LH side.
• The front speed sensor is a component of the front axle hub sub-assembly. If the front speed sensor needs to be replaced, replace the front axle hub sub-assembly.
• The sensor rotor is a component of the front axle hub sub-assembly. If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the front axle hub sub-assembly.

1. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
2. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB BEARING FOR LOOSENESS  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 5
3. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB FOR RUNOUT  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 6
4. INSTALL FRONT DISC  . Refer to REASSEMBLY - Step 1
5. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7
6. CONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR 
   1. Connect the speed sensor connector.
      NOTE:

      Do not twist the sensor wire.

7. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

   Torque: 103 N.m (1, 050 kgf cm, 76 ft. lbf) 

8. INSPECT SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL 

   Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE
