DTC B2311: Power Window Motor Malfunction: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and press the Techstream main switch on.
    3. Perform the Active Test according to the prompts displayed on the Techstream.
      NOTE: Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function will not operate.
      D-DOOR MOTOR:

      P-DOOR MOTOR:

  2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
    2. Check that the power window operates normally by opening and closing the window.

      OK

      Power window operates normally.

      Result

      NG (Rear LH side power window) D

  3. CHECK WHETHER PARTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY 
    1. Check that the power window components are installed correctly.

      OK

      Power window components are installed correctly.

      HINT: 

      If the power window components are installed correctly, the problem was caused by a battery disconnection while the power switch was on (IG), improper installation of the power window components, or the motor overheating.

    NG → INSTALL PARTS CORRECTLY 

    OK → END 

  4. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL - Step 20 
  5. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL - Step 20 
  6. REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL - Step 21 
  7. REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL - Step 21
