How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS

  3. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION 

    Result

    Condition Proceed to
    Symptom occurs A
    Symptom does not occur B

    A → Go to   4 step 4 

    B → SYMPTOM SIMULATION 

  4. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage

    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding to the next step.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check for normal function of the CAN communication system.
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Result

      Condition Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

      B → Go to  CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

      A: Go to next step 

  6. DTC CHECK* 

    Result

    Condition Proceed to
    DTC is output A
    DTC is not output B

    B → Go to   8 step 8 

    A: Go to next step
