How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage

    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK FOR DTC (ALL)* 
    1. Check for all DTCs.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is output. A
      CAN communication system DTC is output. B
      DTC is not output. C

      If a CAN communication malfunction code is output, troubleshoot that code before performing repairs on this system.

      B → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 

      C → USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 

      A: Go to next step 

  4. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
    1. Before performing repairs or replacement, refer to PRECAUTION. Refer to PRECAUTION .
    2. Refer to the DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART and perform repairs. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  5. CONFIRMATION TEST* 
    1. Perform the OPERATION CHECK. Refer to OPERATION CHECK .
