How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding

  3. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Check for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result 

      RESULT REFERENCE

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

    B: CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT 

    A: Go to next step 

  4. WARNING LIGHT CHECK 
  5. CHECK DTC (Present and Past DTCs)* 
    1. Check for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result 

      RESULT REFERENCE

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

    B: PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    A: Go to next step 

  6. DTC CHART 
  7. CIRCUIT INSPECTION 
  8. REPAIR 
  9. CLEAR DTC (Present and Past DTCs)* 
  10. CHECK DTC (Present and Past DTCs)* 
    1. Check for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  )

      Result
