Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Lexus LS 600hL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

HINT:

Operating the power switch, any switches or any doors triggers related ECU and sensor communication with the CAN, which causes resistance variation

      E2-1 (E02) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A13-5 (E03) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-4 (E04) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E2-5 (ME01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A14-1 (EC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

    VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
    A14-7 (BATT) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
    A13-2 (+B) - Body ground When battery's positive (+) voltage is applied to terminal A14-3 (MREL) 11 to 14 V
    A13-1 (+B2) - Body ground When battery's positive (+) voltage is applied to terminal A14-3 (MREL) 11 to 14 V
A14-5 (FC) - Body ground Power switch ON (IG) 11 to 14 V
