Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (RR MPX-B2) 
    1. Remove the RR MPX-B2 fuse from the luggage room junction block.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

    Standard resistance 

    RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    RR MPX-B2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE - BODY GROUND AND BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the r2*1 or S15*2 rear power seat module connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      w/o Ottoman 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      r2-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      w/ Ottoman 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S15-5 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard voltage 

    w/o Ottoman 

    VOLTAGE REFERENCE CHART

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    r2-11 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    w/ Ottoman 

    VOLTAGE REFERENCE CHART

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    S15-6 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - REAR POWER SEAT MODULE) 
    1. Disconnect the r2*1 or S15*2 rear power seat module connector.
    2. Disconnect the L76 air conditioning amplifier connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance 

    w/o Ottoman 

    RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    L76-21 (LIN3) - r2-14 (RCLN) Always Below 1 Ω
    L76-21 (LIN3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    w/ Ottoman 

    RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    L76-21 (LIN3) - S15-13 (RCLN) Always Below 1 Ω
    L76-21 (LIN3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  4. REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT MODULE 
    1. Replace the rear power seat module with a new or properly functioning one (see REMOVAL ).
    2. Operate the rear power seat module to check that it functions properly.

      OK: Rear power seat module function operates normally. 

      NG: REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER  (See REMOVAL )

      OK: END (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE IS FAULTY)
