Inspection Procedure

NOTE: If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.
  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Clear the DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
    2. Check for DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

      Result 

      DTC OUTPUT RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1AE2 is output A
      No DTCs is output B

    B: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: Go to Next Step 

  2. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT LEFT CENTER SENSOR) 
    1. Replace the ultrasonic sensor (see REMOVAL ) with a normally functioning sensor.

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Clear the DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
    2. Check for DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

      Result 

      DTC OUTPUT RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1AE2 is output (w/o Advanced parking guidance system) A
      DTC C1AE2 is output (w/ Advanced parking guidance system) B
      No DTCs is output C

    B: REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU  (See REMOVAL )

    C: END 

    A: REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU  (See REMOVAL )
