Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the R19 display connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R19-16 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      R19-14 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      R19-29 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

      NG: Go to step 2 

      OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ) 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER) 
    1. Disconnect the R19 display connector.
    2. Disconnect the R30 controller connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R19-14 (+B) - R30-2 (+B1) Always Below 1 Ω
      R19-29 (ACC) - R30-7 (ACC1) Always Below 1 Ω
      R19-16 (GND) - R30-11 (GND1) Always Below 1 Ω
      R19-14 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R19-29 (ACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R19-16 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

      OK: REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER (See  REMOVAL   )
