  1. CHECK DISTANCE CONTROL ECU

    D2-1 (+B) + D2-12 (GND) B - G Battery Always 10 to 14 V
    D2-2 (WIP2) - D2-12 (GND) W - G Wiper switch signal Ignition switch: ON, Wiper switch: OFF → HI Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V
    D2-3 (WASH) - D2-12 (GND) B - G Washer switch signal Ignition switch: ON, Washer switch: OFF → ON 10 to 14 V → Below 1 V
    D2-10 (SGND) - Body ground BR - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω
    D2-12 (GND) - Body ground G - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω
    D2-13 (IGB) - D2-12 (GND) V - G Ignition switch on signal Ignition switch: ON 10 to 14 V
    D2-16 (MODE) - D2-12 (GND) Y - G Distance control switch signal Ignition switch: ON, Distance control switch: OFF -* ON 10 to 14 V → Below 1 V
    D2-22 (LRDD) - D2-12 (GND) B - G Laser sensor input signal Ignition switch: ON Pulse generation (see  a waveform 1)

    1. Reference: waveform 1

      HINT:

      • Terminal: LRDD - GND
      • Gauge set: 2 V/DIV, 10 msec./DIV
      • Condition: Ignition switch ON

    2. Reference: waveform 2

    HINT:

    • Terminal: LRRD - GND
    • Gauge set: 2 V/DIV, 5 msec./DIV
    • Condition: Ignition switch ON

    If the value is not within the standard range, some defects on the vehicle are suspected.
