Front Airbag Sensor: Installation

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR LH
- Check that the ignition switch is off.
- Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.CAUTION: After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.
- Connect the connector to the front airbag sensor LH.
- Install the front airbag sensor LH with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
NOTE:- If the front airbag sensor LH has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.
- When installing the front airbag sensor LH, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
- Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the front airbag sensor LH.
- INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING
- Adjust headlight aiming (See ADJUSTMENT ).
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform initialization (See INITIALIZATION
).
HINT:
Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.

- INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
- Inspect the SRS warning light (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
