Inspection Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch from ON to OFF.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON and wait 10 seconds.
3. Check for the DTC again and wait for 20 seconds.

   OK: 

   DTC 5-2 is not output. 

OK: CLEAR HISTORIC DTC 

NG: Go to next step 

1. Check for DTC using the intelligent tester.

   Proceed to 

   RESULT CHART
   
   

   Result	Proceed to
   Related to supplemental restraint system	A
   No DTC	B

A:  GO TO SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM

B: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait 90 seconds.
2. Disconnect the M14 ECU connector.
3. Disconnect the C32 airbag connector.
4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   M14-16 (GSW) - C32-18 (GSW3)	Below 1 Ω
   M14-16 (GSW) or C32-18 (GSW3) -Body ground	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR THEN CLEAR HISTORIC DTC

OK: REPLACE MAYDAY ECU ASSEMBLY TOGETHER WITH MAYDAY BATTERY AND THEN PERFORM REGISTRATION
