Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the skid control ECU, perform initialization of the linear solenoid valve and calibration (see INITIALIZATION  ).

HINT:

When U0123/62, U0124/95 or U0126/63 is output along with C1210/36 or C1336/98, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0123/62, U0124/95 or U0126/63 first.

  1. CHECK YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR INSTALLATION
    1. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor has been installed properly.

OK: The sensor is tightened to the specified torque.

      The sensor is not tilted.

NG: INSTALL YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR CORRECTLY

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP

  2. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR
    1. Perform the zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (see CALIBRATION  ).
  3. RECONFIRM DTC
    1. Clear the DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
    2. Start the engine.
    3. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 35 km/h (24 mph) or more, and turn the steering wheel to the right and left.
    4. Check if the same DTCs are recorded (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

      Result

      RESULT REFERENCE

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs (C1210/36 and C1336/98) are output(1) A
      DTCs (C1210/36 and C1336/98) are not output(2) B
      HINT:
      (1) The DTCs are recorded because zero point calibration has not been completed.
      (2) End the procedure since the same DTCs are not recorded after completion of zero point calibration.

    B: END

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP

  4. REPLACE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR
    1. Replace the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (see REMOVAL  ).
  5. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR
    1. Perform the zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (see CALIBRATION  ).

      DTCs (C1210/36 and C1336/98) are not output(2) B
      HINT:
      (1) The DTCs are recorded because zero point calibration has not been completed.
      (2) End the procedure since the same DTCs are not recorded after completion of zero point calibration.
