- Delete the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
- Recheck for DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

- ECU COMMUNICATION ID REGISTRATION
- Register the ECU communication ID between the ID code box and ECM (See REGISTRATION ).
- Check for DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ID CODE BOX - ECM)
- Disconnect the J69 ECU and A6 ECM connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TERMINAL CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE .
Standard resistance
TERMINAL CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLETester Connection Condition Specified Condition J69-5 (EFII) - A6-7 (IMO) Always Below 1 ohms J69-5 (EFII) - Body ground Always 10 K ohms or higher NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- REPLACE ID CODE BOX
- Replace the ID code box.
- ELECTRICAL KEY REGISTRATION
- Register the electrical key code in the certification ECU (See REGISTRATION ).
- ECU COMMUNICATION ID REGISTRATION
- Register the ECU communication ID between the ID code box and ECM (See REGISTRATION ).
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT
- Check for DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
