Inspection Procedure
HINT:
Start the engine before inspection. Check the IG1 relay or battery if the engine does not start.
- INSPECT FUSE (A/C NO. 2)
- Remove the A/C No. 2 fuse from the instrument panel J/ B.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
FUSE (A/C NO. 2)Tester Item Condition Specified Condition A/C No. 2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω
NG: REPLACE FUSE (A/C NO. 2)
OK: Go to Next Step
- INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER (IG+ - GND)
- Remove the A/C amplifier with its connectors still connected.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER (IG+ - GND) VOLTAGETester Connection Condition Specified Condition E1-1 (IG+) - E1-14 (GND) Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V
NG: Go to step 3
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - BATTERY)
- Disconnect the A/C amplifier connector.
