Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Remove the courtesy light switch ASSY.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in CONNECTOR TERMINAL RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION .

      Standard: 

      CONNECTOR TERMINAL RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - Switch body Switch pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      1 - Switch body Switch free Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSY 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MEMORY SEAT ECU - COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the front power seat switch connector.
    2. Install the courtesy light switch ASSY.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in CONNECTOR TERMINAL RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION .

      Standard: 

      CONNECTOR TERMINAL RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P28-3 (DCTY) - Body ground Driver side door courtesy light switch pushed --> free 10 kΩ or higher --> Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
