Inspection Procedure

1. Disconnect the transfer transmission wire connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in RESISTANCE CONDITION TABLE  .

NG: Go to STEP  3 

OK: Go To Next Step 

1. Disconnect the 4WD control ECU connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE  .

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   A32-13 (SLC+) - E54-2	Below 1 ohms
   A32-32 (SLC-) - E54-1	Below 1 ohms
   A32-13 (SLC+) - Body ground	10 k ohms or higher
   A32-32 (SLC-) - Body ground	10 k ohms or higher

3. Connect the transfer transmission wire connector and 4WD control ECU connector.

Result 

B: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

C: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SLC+, SLC- CIRCUIT) 

A: Go To Next Step: REPLACE 4WD CONTROL ECU 

1. Remove the transfer control solenoid assembly (See Step 12 in REMOVAL  ).
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS TABLE  .

NG: REPLACE TRANSFER CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY
