Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED OFF 
    1. If the power window operates even after either front door is opened within 45 seconds after the ignition switch is turned OFF, proceed to A.
    2. If the power window operates even after 45 seconds have passed after the ignition switch is turned OFF, proceed to B.
    1. B: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 
    2. A: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  2. READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY) 
    1. Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the courtesy switches.

      Standard (Multiplex network body ECU): 

      FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY

      Item Measurement Item/Display (Range) Normal Condition
      D DOR CTY SW Driver side door courtesy switch signal/ON or OFF ON: Driver side door is open
      OFF: Driver side door is closed
      P DOR CTY SW Passenger side door courtesy switch signal/ON or OFF ON: Passenger side door is open
      OFF: Passenger side door is closed
    1. NG: Go to step 3. 
    2. OK: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU 
  3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY (LH AND RH) 
    1. Remove the courtesy lamp switch.
    2. Check the switch resistance.

      Standard: 

      FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY (LH AND RH)

      Tester Connection Switch Position Specified Condition
      1 - Switch body Switch pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      Switch free Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY - MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the D6 or D7 lamp switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the B5 or B6 ECU connector.
    3. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard:

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU
