    1. Disconnect the R21 ECU connector.
    2. Check the voltage and resistance of each terminal of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard:

      R21 ECU CONNECTOR TERMINALS VOLTAGE AND RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      GND (R21-1) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Constant Below 1 Ω
      CPUB (R21-7) - Body ground L-B - Body ground Battery (ECU power source) Constant 10 to 14 V
      SIG (R21-8) - Body ground GR - Body ground Ignition power supply Ignition switch OFF --> ON 0 V --> 10 to 14 V
      BDR (R21-3) - Body ground G - Body ground Battery (Drive motor power supply for mirror face adjustment) Constant 10 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the R21 ECU connector.
    4. Check the voltage of each terminal of the R23 ECU connector.

      Standard:

      R23 ECU CONNECTOR TERMINALS VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS

      Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      LM+R (R23-10) - Body ground R - Body ground Outer mirror switch signal/(Right or Down) Ignition switch ACC, Left/Right adjustment switch L side, Mirror switch OFF --> RIGHT or DOWN 10 to 14 V
      LMHR (R23-9) - Body ground BR - Body ground Outer mirror switch signal/(Left or Down) Ignition switch ACC, Left/Right adjustment switch L side, Mirror switch OFF --> LEFT or DOWN 10 to 14 V
