Inspection Procedure
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER
- Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the outer mirror switches.
Standard (Multiplex network body ECU):

- OK: Go to step 4
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the outer mirror switches.
- INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY (See INSPECTION
)
- NG: REPLACE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY - MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) (See REMOTE CONTROL MIRROR SWITCH CIRCUIT
)
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: Go to next step.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING HAND-HELD TESTER
- Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the hand-held tester to generate a control command, and then check that the outer rear view mirrors.
Standard (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU):

- OK: CHECK AND REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSY
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the hand-held tester to generate a control command, and then check that the outer rear view mirrors.
- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY
- LH:
Inspect the outer rear view mirror.
- Disconnect the R23 mirror connector.
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror face.
Standard (LH):

Inspect the outer rear view mirror.
- Disconnect the R24 mirror connector.
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror face.

- LH:
