Inspection Procedure

CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - DISTANCE CONTROL ECU)
1. Check for an open or short circuit in harness and connector between the ECM and distance control ECU (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
INSPECT ECM
1. Remove the ECM with the connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Check the signal waveform between terminal ELC (E7-29) of the ECM and body ground.
  Standard: Waveform similar to that in the illustration to the left is output.
  
  HINT:
  - Gauge set: 1 V/DIV, 20 ms/DIV
  - Condition: Ignition switch ON

1. NG: REPLACE ECM (See ECM (3MZ-FE) )
2. OK: REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL ECU ASSY (See CRUISE CONTROL ECU ASSY )
