Inspection Procedure

  1. Check for open or short in harness and connector between navigation ECU and television camera ECU. 
    1. Disconnect the T31 connector from the television camera ECU.
    2. Disconnect the N3 connector from the navigation ECU.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      TX1+ (T31-36) -TX+ (N3-5) Always Below 1 Ω
      TX1- (T31-35) -TX- (N3-10) Always Below 1 Ω
      TX1+ (T31-36) -Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      TX1- (T31-35) -Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step. 
  2. Check for open or short in harness and connector between multi-display and television camera ECU. 
    1. Disconnect the T31 connector from the television camera ECU.
    2. Disconnect the M5 connector from the malti-display assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      TX+ (T31 -29) -TX1+ (M5-4) Always Below 1 Ω
      TX- (T31-30) -TX1- (M5-5) Always Below 1 Ω
      TX+ (T31-29) -Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      TX- (T31-30) -Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in problem symptoms table (see  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ).
