Inspection Procedure

HINT:

In case of using the hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and incase of not using the hand-held tester, start from step  2.

1. Check lamp failure sensor using hand-held tester. 

   PREPARATION: 

   Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC 3.

   CHECK: 

   Remove either bulb of the stop light high mount stop light or tail light, and check the operation of the lamp failure sensor with DATA LIST.

   REFERENCE
   
   

   Lamp condition	Lamp failure sensor (Tester display)
   Normal	OFF
   Lamp wire break (or removed)	ON

   1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
   2. NG: Go to next step. 
2. Check wire harness and connector between lamp failure sensor and Body ECU No. 2. 
   1. NG: Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
   2. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ).
