Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH
    NOTE:
    • Be sure not to apply the battery voltage to terminals 2,3 and 6 of the power window regulator motor assy LH connector, because it might damage the pulse sensor and the limit switch .
    • Be sure to reset the power window regulator motor assembly (initial position setting of the limit switch)when the power window regulator motor assy LH is installed to the regulator.
    1. when adding the battery voltage to each connector terminal, check that the motor operates smoothly.
      BATTERY CONNECTION AND OPERATION

      Battery Connection/ (Battery Motor Terminals Operation
      Positive-4/Negative-5 Clockwise rotation towards driving axis
      Positive-5/Negative-4 Counterclockwise wind rotation toward driving axis

    NG/REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH

    OK

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS
    1. Disconnect the D17 power window regulator master switch and P17 power window regulator motor assy LH connectors
    2. Check the continuity between the disconnected connectors.
      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Symbols (Terminals No.)/ (Switch <-> Motor) Specified condition
      MUP<->U (D17-1<->P7-4 Continutiy
      MDN<-> (D17-11<->P7-5 Continuity

    NG/REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    OK
