Inspection Procedure
- FUNCTION CHECK (OPERATION)
- Check whether the manual operation is normal by using the power seat switch.
- NG: FLOW TABLE 1
- OK: Go to next step.
- FUNCTION CHECK (MEMORY)
- Check whether the power seat memory function is normal.
- NG: FLOW TABLE 2
- OK: Go to next step.
- FUNCTION CHECK (REPRODUCING OPERATION)
- Check whether the reproducing operation works under any of the following conditions.
- When the reproducing operation does not work under all the conditions, proceed to A.
- When the reproducing operation works under one of the conditions, proceed to B.
- B: CHECK AND REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSY (See TERMINALS OF ECU )
- A: Go to next step.
- Check whether the reproducing operation works under any of the following conditions.
- READ VALUE OF LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER
- Using the hand-held tester, check the power seat condition by the ECU data monitor.
SEAT ECU
- When the position memorizing does not work, proceed to A.
- When all items work or the seat memory does not work, proceed to B.
- When the P range or the vehicle's speed does not work, proceed to C.
- B: CHECK AND REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSY (See TERMINALS OF ECU )
- C: TO INSTRUMENT PANEL & METER SECTION
- A: Go to next step.
- Using the hand-held tester, check the power seat condition by the ECU data monitor.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS
- Check the continuity of the wire harness between the seat ECU and the position control sensor a malfunctioning part detected by the ECU data.

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: REPLACE POSITION CONTROL SENSOR
- Check the continuity of the wire harness between the seat ECU and the position control sensor a malfunctioning part detected by the ECU data.
