Inspection Procedure

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING HAND-HELD TESTER
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the ACTIVE TEST on the hand-held tester to generate a control command, and then check that the power seat operation.

HINT:
During the ACTIVE TEST, the hand-held tester sends a signal to the position control ECU & switch to drive the power seat motors. If the power seat operates, the power seat motor itself, the wire harness between the power seat motors and position control ECU & switch are considered normal.
- OK INSPECT POSITION CONTROL ECU & SWITCH ASSY (SEE ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- INSPECT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
)
- NG: REPLACE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POSITION CONTROL ECU & SWITCH ASSY - POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the P33 ECU and P34, P35, P37 and P38 motor connectors.
- Check the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU & SWITCH ASSY
