Inspection Procedure

  1. Check continuity between terminal NVSW and E1 of Night View Switch. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Remove the Night View Switch.

    CHECK: 

    Check continuity between terminal NVSW and E1 of Night View Switch.

    OK: 

    1. Continuity: 
    2. When press the Night View Switch: Continuity 
    3. When not press the Night View Switch: No continuity

    1. NG : Replace Night View Switch. 
    2. OK : Go to next step 
  2. Check voltage between terminal NVSW and body ground of the Night View ECU. 

    PREPARATION: 

    1. Remove the combination meter.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Switch to Inspection Mode (See PRE-CHECK ).

    CHECK:

    Measure voltage between terminal NVSW and body ground of the Night View ECU with the wire harness.

    OK: 

    1. Voltage: 
    2. When not pressing the Night View Switch: 5 V 
    3. When pressing the Night View Switch: 0 V

    1. OK : Repair or replace wire harness and connector. 
    2. NG : Check and replace Night View ECU.
