Inspection Procedure

  1. Check the Night View Relay. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Remove the Night View Relay from the engine room relay block.

    CHECK: 

    Check continuity of the Night View Relay.

    OK: 

    1. Continuity: 
    SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Condition Tester connection Specified condition
    Always 1-2 Continuity
    Apply B+ between terminals 3 and 5. 3-5 Continuity

    1. NG : Replace Night View Relay. 
    2. OK : Go to next step 
  2. Check voltage between terminal LAMP and body ground of the Night View ECU. 

    PREPARATION: 

    1. Remove the combination meter.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    CHECK:

    Measure voltage between terminal LAMP and body ground of the Night View ECU.

    OK: 

    1. Voltage: 0 V

    1. NG : Check and replace Night View ECU. 
    2. OK : Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
