Inspection Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Select the active test, and then check that the power door lock operates.

    HINT:

    During the active test, the hand-held tester sends signal to the body ECU to drive all the power door lock motor. If the all power door lock operates, the power door lock motor itself and the wire harness between the power door lock motor and body ECU is considered normal.

    STANDARD (BODY ECU)

    Item Test Details Diagnostic Note
    DOOR LOCK Drive door lock motor at all doors LOCK/OFF -
    DOOR LOCK Drive door lock motor at all doors UNLOCK/OFF -

    NG: REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY 

    OK: Go To Next Step 

  2. MASTER SWITCH OR KEY CYLINDER OPERATION 
    1. When manual door lock/unlock operation via the master switch can not be performed, proceed to A.
    2. When manual door lock/unlock operation via the door lock control switch (passenger side) can not be performed, proceed to B.
    3. When manual door lock/unlock operation interlocked with the driver side door lock key cylinder can not be performed, proceed to C.

    B: Go to step   4 

    C: Go to step   5 

    A: Go To Next Step 

  3. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Remove the master switch.
    2. Inspect the door lock control switch continuity.

    NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY <=> DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY (BODY ECU)) 

  4. INSPECT DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Passenger side switch:

    Inspect the door lock control switch continuity.

    NG: REPLACE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSY 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOOR LOCK CONTROL SWITCH ASSY DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY (BODY ECU)) 

  5. INSPECT FRONT DOOR W/MOTOR LOCK ASSY LH 
    1. Apply battery voltage and inspect operation of the door lock motor.

    2. Inspect the door lock and unlock switch continuity.

    3. Inspect the position switch continuity.

    NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR W/MOTOR LOCK/ASSY LH 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK W/MOTOR LOCK ASSY LH <=> DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY (BODY ECU))
