Inspection Procedure

  1. Cleaning IR Receiver Sensor 
    1. Clean up the infrared light emission part.
      1. Clean up the infrared light emission part of the stereo component control.
      2. Check if the same abnormality occurs again.

      Standard: Function return to normal condition. 

    1. OK: IR Receiver Dirty 
    2. NG: Go To Next Step 
  2. Check Battery (Remote Controller Assembly) 
    1. Check the dry cell battery.
      1. Check that the dry cell battery is not used up.

      Standard: The dry cell battery is not used up. 

    1. NG: Battery Empty 
    2. OK: Go To Next Step 
  3. Inspect Harness Or Connector (Radio Receiver Assembly - Stereo Component Controller) 
    1. Check that the continuity between terminals at each condition, as shown in Fig 2.

      Standard:

    1. NG: Repair Or Replace Harness Of Connector 
    2. OK: Go To Next Step 
  4. Check Stereo Component Controller Assembly (+B, ACC, GND) 
    1. Check that the continuity between terminals at each condition, as shown in Fig 4.

      Standard:

    2. Check that the voltage between terminals at each condition, as shown in Fig 5.

      Standard:

    1. NG: Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector 
    2. OK: Check And Replace Stereo Component Controller Assembly
