When not using LEXUS hand-held tester:

  1. Check wire harness and connector between combination meter and skid control ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  2. Check vehicle speed sensor circuit (See  INSPECTION  ). 
    1. OK : Replace combination meter. 
    2. NG : Check and repair speed sensor and wire harness.
