Power Window Regulator Motor (Rear): Removal
- Remove the rear door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL (REAR) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION under POWER DOOR LOCKS & TRUNK LID article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
- Remove the screw and inside handle, disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.Figure.
- Remove the service hole cover. See Fig 1. Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and door trim bracket. Remove the service hole cover.
- Remove the service hole plate by removing the 2 screws. See Fig 2.
- Remove the door glass run.
- Remove the rear door belt moulding. See Fig 3. Remove a screw. Apply protective tape to the outer surface to keep the surface from being scratched. Using a moulding remover, remove the rear door belt moulding.
- Remove the division bar. Remove the 2 bolts and screw. Pull the division bar forward. Rotate the division bar 90 degrees and pull it upward. See Fig 4.
- Remove the rear door quarter window glass. See Fig 5. Remove the quarter window weatherstrip from the glass.
- Remove the door glass. See Fig 6. Open the door glass. Tilt the door glass and disconnect the roller of the regulator from the glass channel to remove the door glass.
- Remove the window regulator by disconnecting the connector and removing the 4 bolts. See Fig 7.
CAUTION:
Do not damage the glass.
NOTE:
Insert a shop rag inside the door panel to prevent scratching the glass.
