Inspection Procedure

HINT:

In case of using the hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the hand-held tester, start from step 2.

Check mirror position sensor using hand-held tester.
PREPARATION:

Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC 3.

CHECK:

Check the voltage of the mirror position sensor using DATA LIST.

OK:

When operating the mirror motor, voltage value should have a smooth change within the range shown below.

1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
2. NG: Go to Next Step
Check mirror position sensor. (See INSPECTION )
1. NG: Replace the outer mirror.
2. OK: Go to Next Step
Check wire harness and connector between mirror position sensor and driver door ECU.
1. NG: Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
2. OK: Go to next step.
  Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
