Resistance Check (GS430 & LS430)

All models are equipped with 2 Oil Control Valves (OCVs). Each cylinder head has one OCV located in front inside corner of cylinder head. See Fig 1. Remove engine cover. Remove intake air connector pipe, if necessary. Disconnect Black 2-pin connector from OCV to be tested. Measure resistance between OCV terminals. Resistance should be 6.9-7.9 ohms at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is not 6.9-7.9 ohms, replace OCV.
