Throttle Control Motor

Throttle control motor consists of a throttle position sensor and a DC motor. ECM calculates optimal throttle valve opening appropriate for respective driving condition and uses throttle control motor to control opening and closing of throttle valve. If any of following conditions occur, cruise control is disengaged;

• Cruise main switch is turned off.
• CANCEL switch is turned on.
• Brake pedal is pressed.
• Vehicle speed decreases to less than 25 MPH.
• Difference between actual and set speeds is 10 MPH.
• Vehicle Skid Control (VSC) is activated.
• Stoplight switch circuit malfunction.
• Electronically controlled throttle system malfunction.
• Vehicle speed sensor malfunctions.
• Circuit problem occurs.
