Test No. 8 : Driver's Seat Belt Buckle Switch Circuit

NOTE: If LEXUS scan tool is available, start test from step  1. If this scan tool is not available, start test from step  2.
  1. Using scan tool, check driver's seat belt buckle switch using DATA LIST. If driver's seat belt buckle switch is faulty, go to next step. If driver's seat belt buckle switch is okay, perform appropriate pin voltage test under BODY CONTROL ECU PIN VOLTAGE TESTS  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  2. Check driver's seat belt buckle switch. See SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace driver's seat belt buckle switch as necessary. Retest system operation. If driver's seat belt buckle switch is okay, go to next step.
  3. Check circuits for faults between driver's seat belt buckle switch, body control ECU and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. If circuits are okay, see SYMPTOM INDEX (OTHERS)  table and perform appropriate test.
